In the big-picture, I don't know that much about painting. But all that I do know comes from experience. I am completely self-taught, and have learned through a brutal system of trial and error. I'm not remorseful over any of that, learning the hard way  has made me understand the chemical process of painting better than a list of do's and don'ts... I know why I do and why I don't. But I have to tell you that if somebody just told me some of the things listed below, I would be a shitload better at all this crap by now. HI ALL!!!     We here at MSAM are always paying attention to our members suggestions so this month we'll be having two new Challenges suggested by Ana2Mars (https://www.deviantart.com/ana2mars) and secemolados (https://www.deviantart.com/secemolados): Option 1 - TheMasterpieces by projecteducate (https://www.deviantart.com/projecteducate) On one of our early brainstorming sessions on what would we be trying next, SeanAshArt (https://www.deviantart.com/seanashart) suggested that we (the group) could pick some other group's Challenge and participate. And then a couple of days ago, after secemolados (https://www.deviantart.com/secemolados) suggestion, we knew it was time to *do it*: projecteducate (https://www.deviantart.com/projecteducate)'s Challenge is to choose a masterpiece from some of the grand art eras and "recreate it, in your own style, adding twists and making change
